What does the Good Shepherd Foundation support?

Formation of New Priests

You can share in the mission of Christ in our world by the formation of Priests. The education of our seminarians takes from five to eight years. It is of the highest quality. To produce good and holy priests costs around $25,000 a year for each seminarian. Your gift will help provide our diocese with priests formed after the heart of the Good Shepherd.

Retired Priests

Our priests in the Diocese have been our shepherds for generations touching the peaks and valleys of our lives. They baptize us, teach us, bring us God's forgiveness, give us Christ Himself in the Mass, prepare us for marriage, and for our eternal home. Now they need your assistance. Can you help us to provide for the care and dignity of our retired priests?

Youth, Evangelization & Post Secondary Education

The Church in Peterborough has a rich history in educating young people according to Catholic teaching. Building on that history, and counting on your support, we are hoping to raise funds to assist in the creation and ongoing operation of a Catholic College in our diocese, which will welcome students from across North America. This will be a liberal arts college imbued with a Catholic spirit - the spirit of the New Evangelization! We have seen many of our faithful youth on fire for Christ. Your gift will help us reach out to both the faithful and the fallen away youth, securing their future in the faith by offering Catholic post secondary education in our area. Will you help us make that goal a reality?

Ongoing Pastoral Needs

You can help promote the formation of a vibrant faith by funding special events, supporting works of charity, and building the culture of life. Lend your support to these and other pastoral opportunities of a growing Catholic community.
